Having a destination in mind is essential, but remembering to enjoy the twists and turns along the way is even more critical, as the journey may lead to the destination you seek.
Barbara Noonan
Thinking partner for high-performance professionals, teams and organisations managing complexity while navigating change.
I am an ICF ACC-credentialed Transformation Coach, an EMCC-accredited coach at the Senior Practitioner Level, a Certified Working Genius Facilitator, a Positive Intelligence Coach, and an Executive Consultant.
Leveraging skills and experiences gained from my hands-on executive roles as CEO and CMO, working across the Asia Pacific region, and creating two independent marketing consultancies, I bring a unique perspective to my coaching, consulting, and mentoring practice.
My Story
Originally from Australia’s beautiful Blue Mountains, I grew up on a farm surrounded by natural beauty and spent as much time as possible in the city with my grandfather. Curious and adventurous, I began my studies and professional life in Sydney. While working for an international telecoms company in Sydney, I quickly caught the travel bug. Eager to explore the world, I took a leap of faith, moved to Amsterdam in the mid-1990s, and began my life as a world citizen.
I have over 30 years of professional experience in the technology, energy, and services industries. I have held regional and global roles throughout my career, including C-suite positions as CEO of GE Grid Solutions and CMO at Hutchison Port Holdings. I have also held senior commercial roles in business development, sales, marketing, and partnerships with Nokia, Rational Software, and Telstra.
I have travelled extensively to more than 25 countries and 80 cities, experiencing diverse cultures, visiting extraordinary places, and connecting with incredible people. I have lived in Amsterdam, California, and Hong Kong and have called Singapore home for over twenty years. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of cultural diversity, global business practices, and the importance of adaptability.
I am constantly curious and a lifelong learner. I am interested in how technology can enhance our work, lives, and leisure. Travel, food, and photography are more than just my hobbies; they have inspired my coaching and consulting, showing me different perspectives, the beauty of change, and the power of creativity.
I have chosen to live a purposeful and intentional portfolio life, leveraging my extensive professional skills and diverse life experiences to deliver exceptional value to my clients, create positive social impacts within the community, connect with like-minded people, and share my passion for life.

What I Believe
Each of us has unique gifts waiting to be discovered and unleashed. Identifying and embracing these talents is not just empowering; it’s truly transformative. I am committed to helping individuals and teams find their voice and lead purposeful lives that resonate with their core values.
My life’s guiding principles are authenticity, curiosity, trust, and passion. I aim to leverage my diverse global experiences to create meaningful change while fostering holistic growth.
Remember, life is not a rehearsal; every moment counts. Though we cannot control life’s unpredictable nature, we can choose to embrace the journey wholeheartedly. By reflecting, maintaining focus, and living with intention, we can make informed choices that propel us toward our personal and professional aspirations, enabling us to lead richer, more joyous lives.
